(Laguna II ph 2 - 2.0T 205 GT) Marco

Hi, I don't know if you will see this message, but please I need some help.

With the setup F4RT/PK4 in Laguna II, I put the driveshaft of 2.0dCi, but it seems too short or too long.
Its the second driveshaft I change after 500km, and I don't moove the car anymore because it's very unsecure.

I'm looking for the lenght difference between all the model and I see :

Laguna II 2.0 dCi : 640mm

Laguna III 2.0dCi : 630mm
Laguna III GT : 643mm

Megane III 2.0 dCi : 640mm
Mégane III 2.0T (Not RS) : 650mm

Laguna II 1.6 (JH3) : 720
Mégane III 1.6 (JH3) : 700mm

So we can see that 2.0dCi is allways shorter than 2.0T, and Mégane III is shorter than Laguna II for the same setup.
So theoricaly, Laguna II 2.0T with PK4 need to be above of 655mm instead of 641...

But I don't understand a driveshaft too short event if i'm lowered (-30mm Eibabach), and the consequence is the tripod that is destroyed when we diassemble to look what is going on...

I know you are not the only that made this swap but I don't understant what is wrong in my case.

Hi Arc,

I had a similar problem on my II 2.0T, I struggled to find a driveshaft short enough like the original. I have the original one, I'll measure it for you... the gearbox is still a PK6
My problem was the driveshaft nut on the wheel side was 2mm too long! so that the nut was not at the stop, and when turning thedriveshaft slipped 2mm : clong
